Maitri Hosts South Asia Regional Workshop in New Delhi: The TSF South Asia’s Workshop on Addressing HIV vulnerability of migrant population in NACP IV, Issues and Challenges from a civil society perspective; Which is organized by Maitri in New Delhi from 14 -16 December, 2011. This workshop provided a discussion on migrant population focused HIV response in India by providing a platform to partners for sharing best practices as well as learn from experts, including policy makers.
The workshop was aimed to improve the pool of experts in the area of migrant population. It was an effort to gain knowledge on best practices derived from NACP III and facilitate tailor-made services to the migrant population in NACP IV.
This workshop was attended by various persons from different organisations like Avert Society, Population Council, Karnataka Health Promotion Trust, Emphasis, Professors from Manitoba (Canadian) University, Kerala University, XISS Ranchi University, & University of New South Wales Kensington University, Australia, Child in Need Institute and Project Officers from Different states working for Targeted Intervention.
Maitri hosted this three day workshop at the United Services Institute (USI), New Delhi.
